HMH Engineering provided the Construction Engineering and inspection for this bridge replacement project over the South Fork of the Coeur’dAlene River near Enaville. This was a two season project due to environmental commitments and condensed in-water work windows. Construction was also phased to maintain two-way traffic on the heavily traveled river road.
Bridge construction included deep 42 inch center pier pile, precast concrete girders, removal of existing bridge, and realignment of roadway approaches. Relocation of utilities was required for the roadway reconstruction and included realignment of a 24 inch ductile iron water main used to feed the water treatment facility adjacent to the project.
This Project Included:
⦁ Large diameter center pier pile
⦁ Environmental commitments for in-water work and bridge access pads
⦁ Two season construction while maintaining two-way traffic on a heavily traveled road leading into a high recreation use area
⦁ Utility coordination for the relocation of existing utilities and realignment of 24” DI water main
