HMH Engineering provides accurate, timely, and certified materials testing services to ensure the quality and compliance of construction projects of all sizes. Our fully accredited laboratories, mobile testing trailers, and experienced field technicians allow us to serve clients efficiently across Idaho and western Montana.

OUR MATERIALS TESTING SERVICES
We offer a full range of laboratory and field testing services, including:

    • Asphalt, soils, aggregate, and concrete testing

    • Mix design verification and analysis

    • AASHTO- and ASTM-compliant procedures for strength, durability, and gradation testing

    • Hot-mix asphalt and concrete compressive strength testing

    • On-site sampling and testing of construction materials

    • In-place density and compaction testing using nuclear density gauges

    • Verification of materials placement and compliance with project specifications

    • Quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) testing for federally, state, and locally funded projects

    • Independent Assurance (IA) testing and verification services

    • Special inspections in compliance with IBC Chapter 17, ACI, ICC, and WAQTC standards

    • Four permanent, fully equipped laboratories located in Coeur d’Alene, Lewiston, Meridian, and Rigby

    • AASHTO-accredited Coeur d’Alene lab and ITD-certified facilities

    • Six mobile laboratory trailers for rapid deployment and on-site testing

    • Certified nuclear density gauges, concrete field-testing kits, and asphalt and aggregate testing equipment
