Applicants must have:
5-10 years of experience
An Idaho professional engineer license, or the ability to obtain their license within 12 months.
Strong technical skills including proficiency in AutoCad Civil 3D and other engineering analysis and design software

HMH Engineering is looking for motivated individuals to join our team based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. We currently have an opening for a Party Chief to become part of our land survey group. As a Party Chief you will serve a vital role by providing topographic, boundary and right of way data for statewide projects. The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
Work independently and/or (2) person field crews.
Care for and maintain field equipment and assigned vehicle
Complete daily reports of field activities, vehicle logs and other required paperwork.
Communicate with staff, clients and the public at large during field surveying activities.
Have the knowledge necessary to operate surveying instruments and measuring devices (total station, level and/or GPS) needed to complete different types of field survey work assignments.
Prior land surveying experience as a survey crew chief is required for this position; individuals that exhibit a strong work ethic and willingness to learn will be given high preference. The work environment is 90% outdoors; therefore, the position requires individuals willing to work in changing weather conditions (hot/cold and or wet/dry).

HMH Engineering is seeking a mid-level certified construction materials testing technician to support our continued growth in the Boise area and to work out of HMH’s Meridian office. Candidates should possess certifications from WAQTC and ACI. Good communication (written & verbal) skills with solid time management skills and attention to detail are required. Ability to work independently and as a team player is a must.
The materials testing technician will be responsible for field observation, aggregate testing, density testing and concrete and asphalt testing on federally and privately funded projects. Federally funded projects consist of roadway and bridge projects for the Idaho transportation department and other local entities. Privately funded projects vary widely from residential developments and building construction to roadway construction and municipal work. Field and laboratory work should be anticipated.
Testing technicians will be expected to completed daily diaries and/or reports after tests and inspections to verify the data collected in the field. Testing technicians will be required to communicate with project managers, contractors and other project staff daily.
